According to the US Federal Highway Administration, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among those aged 3 through 34, based on 2006 data. In 2008, there were 5,811,000 police reported crashes and 37,261 crash related deaths.
If 90%, or 33,535 deaths, of the number of 2008 US highway deaths could be eliminated only if 100% of all drivers participated in a computerized smart highway, smart car program, but 3,728 deaths, or the remaining 10%, would result from random computer errors, would you participate in such a program?
